Marius Bordalba has more than 27 years of experience in the international trade and EU law areas as well as government affairs and relations. Before becoming an independent consultant, Marius worked in two prestigeous Brussels-based trade law firms and in the WTO Secretariat.​

Marius has ample experience in advising governments and companies on EU law, in particular trade, customs and regulatory matters, as well as on WTO’s trade in goods agreements and accession processes. He has represented clients or assisted investigating authorities in more than 90 trade remedy cases, in jurisdictions such as the EU, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Panama or Jordan.  Marius has advised governments in developing support programs / subsidies. Marius regularly advises companies on market access issues, including on the removal of market access barriers; sanctions and embargoes; and customs matters such as classification and origin of goods.​

Marius has also worked in several WTO-related disputes, including the first case which examined claims regarding the use of zeroing by the United States. Marius is also representing a party in a commercial dispute. Marius has been panelist in a SPS-related dispute between Costa Rica and Panama. ​
