Luis David Díaz-Ibarra

Sidera welcomes Luis David as its new LATAM Liaison, he has a Bachelor’s degree in International Trade from the University Alejandro de Humboldt in Caracas, Venezuela. Upon completing his college education, he gained experience as a Foreign Trade Coordinator at CAVECOL, an economic integration chamber with international reach. Luis developed research, strategic analysis, and networking skills there, among others. 

 

After that, he worked for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela as an Economic and Commercial Analyst in the multilateral arena, which led him to develop experience in diplomacy and negotiation in forums such as ECLAC, UNCTAD, the WTO, among others. His training touched on aspects such as foreign direct investment, trade statistics, negotiation, regional integration, among other elements.

Luis David was born in Caracas, Venezuela. He is a native Spanish speaker, is fluent in English, and has basic knowledge of French. Living in Brazil, Luis also dominates the Portuguese language.
