Lucas Hourani is currently pursuing a degree in Economics and Business Economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Throughout his studies, he has developed a solid foundation in economic theory, along with hands-on experience in econometric analysis and research. His academic journey has sharpened his interest in financial markets, economic modeling, and data-driven approaches to problem-solving.

Before joining Sidera, Lucas interned in the financial sector, where he worked on data extraction, modeling, and analysis to support strategic decision-making. He also contributed to academic research as an assistant at the Erasmus School of Economics, where he collaborated with professors on a project exploring how ethnic backgrounds influence cooperation between neighbors. These experiences strengthened both his technical skills and his ability to work across complex datasets.

At Sidera, Lucas is gaining exposure to a wide range of projects, with a particular focus on  market access and economic research. The role is allowing him to deepen his understanding of international trade policy and regulatory environments, while contributing directly to client-facing work.

His main areas of interest include financial economics, macroeconomic policy, and econometrics. Through his work at Sidera, he hopes to keep building a well-rounded skill set that bridges economic theory with practical, real-world impact.
